Family ski day

If you look closely you can see Barker in the orange ski jacket, Kingston in the yellow pants and Daddy in the red pants bringing up the caboose in the snow park.

 

Chickens

Another shot from our time at Lily and Cole's house. We were so worried that Spike

might get to the chickens because he's never seen them before and typically chases

all things that run. But after a few sniffs he lost interest - we were so relieved. About an hour or so later

we notice Wally had let himself out of the dog door and squeezed his way into 

the chicken run...if you're thinking yikes you are correct...next thing we know there's all sortsa commotion and Wally has a mouth full of feathers! We felt terrible! We didn't even think to be worried about 

the puppy. Luckily Stripey the chicken was quick and only lost a few feathers from her

bottom - so few we could not see a featherless area. She was a bit stressed, but not harmed thank 

goodness!

Oliver helps

Barker had to collect soil samples for a science project for school.

This immediately got Oliver's attention and he decided he needed

to be there to help B with his schoolwork!

 

Life's purpose

 

During lunch the other day with Nico and Elsa.

All 4 sitting and eating and causally discussing their life's purpose...!

I had to rub my eyes and do a double take I was taken by surprise to say the least.

As if I were sharing the kitchen with 4 adults they were saying things like,

"I don't want to just grow up and get a job and then die - I want to do something

more. I want to have a purpose and make a difference." 

(Excuse me while I wipe a tear - I was such a proud parent in this moment - I

immediately snapped this photo and texted Jake and their parents!)

Books

We each received 2 new books for Christmas and enjoyed them so much

we've read though them all and are now re-reading them!

 

Sleeping bags aren't meant for sleeping

Just like a cardboard box, a sleeping has infinite uses. One of which

is dragging your brother around the house.

 

Can we shave our eyebrows?!

A burning yet serious question we had for Mom...

She told us we won't like how it looks so suggested band aids over them as

a trial. She was right! Thank goodness we didn't actually shave them off.

It was tricky, however, getting those band aids off!!!

 

Gratitude

Reflecting on things we are thankful for!

 

Even in inclement weather

We'll find a way to scooter and skate.

Thank goodness the Hood River skate park has a covered area!

 

Nico turns 10!

So we helped him celebrate double digits along with Max, Jack & Ivar...

the original "squeezy crew" as we like to call ourselves!
