Ninja training

Kingston, Ash, Barker & Ivar (the neighborhood boys)

have developed a ninja training course for themselves.

It involves agility, strength training (with nightly push-ups and sit-ups as their 

self assigned 'homework') and I kid you not...meditation.

I overheard one of them say, 'I'm going to be over here meditating

if any of you want to join me!'

It seems like the course activities keep evolving.

I'm excited to see where this leads!!!

Soccer

Kingston's having a blast with soccer this year. Two

of his favorite pals are on his team, Finley (in the green jersey)

and Bodhi (gray shirt with dark pants on the right). They all

3 met at Bright Beginnings last year and have continued being the

best of friends! It's going to be a great season!!!

It's pretty cute that the kiddos go to snack these days

are carrots of all things. They just love to crunch/munch down on them

and they always say, 'we're making our eyes stronger, Mom!'

At football practice last night, Coach Pete was drilling in 2 different

plays. From the beginning of practice to the end - they all had made big strides!

Still working on lining up the power of their throws to the intended receiver!

and in a magical place in the woods that we wish would never end!

Such a wonderful weekend with many memories made!

Has begun for Barker! We missed the first week due to not getting

signed up in time-but Barker was able to keep up

no problem with where the team was at-he is so excited and absolutely loving it!

Work schedules didn't align to celebrate on Daddy's actual birthday...

but we made due and spoiled him with dinner out, gifts and snuggles

all the same!

First Day of School!

No tears-Success!

Barker was a little nervous last night about going to school today, but

it turned out to be an easy peasy morning without nervousness or tears!

Kingston couldn't wait to go to bed last night so tomorrow would hurry up and come!

He was so excited to get up and FINALLY go to May Street School he could hardly

contain himself-we couldn't move fast enough to get out the door in his eyes!!!

Brody swung by our house early so we could all walk in

and face the first day together. It made it more exciting

and took away any butterflies Barker previously had!

Kingston settled right in to Mrs. Zeurcher's class

(the kindergarten teacher both Barker & Brody had previously had)

and found out that one of his best buddies Torson was in the class too!

Barker settled in quickly too as he found a tub of fresh Playdough 

on his desk. It was also comforting that he knew just about everyone

in his class already - overall we had a great start to the school year!

Labor Day Weekend!

With 17 kiddos, and 16 parents this was the biggest camping trip

group we've ever had and boy oh boy did we have 

a weekend full of fun!!

Tattoo wearing, bike riding, snipe trap making, crawdad catching,

s'more making, karaoke singing, nightly dance party sessions,

treepod hanging, pool swimming and a 3-way birthday celebration...

we really took camping to a new level!
