still not 4 eyes

Much to their disappointment-these 2 still don't need glasses.
They had their annual eye exams today and endured the 'stingy' drops
in hopes the Doctor would find that they needed glasses.
They cheered up again after getting these disposable sunglasses
and lollies!

Reader's Chair

Kingston's class started a new weekly routine
called reader's chair. Each kiddo is asked if they want to participate
at the beginning of the week and those that want to are
assigned a day. Many kiddos passed at the opportunity
but Kingston was excited to do it- I was so proud of him!
When he was finished he whispered to me
'Mom, I was kind of embarrassed but that was really fun!'

a tiny scare

Sunday after getting home from Meadows, Barker was complaining
of a VERY intense headache. So intense that he was screaming
at the top of his lungs in pain and holding his head
while writhing on the floor. He then told us he didn't feel
very good and proceeded to throw up. He told us he
had crashed with another skier during his group lesson
and had had a headache ever since but it wasn't
very bad until right now... when we checked his pupils
one was larger than the other. So off to the Emergency
Department we went. Luckily, after throwing up, the
symptoms seemed to pass quickly. By the time the ER
doctor came in to check him for signs of a concussion, he
was mostly on his way back to normal. PHEW! We were told to watch
him closely and there was a stern recommendation of
no 'screens' over the next several days to weeks as
they have been shown to decrease healing time and cause more
damage after a head injury. We were just thankful he
is ok and that he bounced back so quickly.
Thank goodness he always wears a helmet!

(pupils back to normal - we've never been so happy to
see such 'normal' pupils!!)

balancing act

These two crazy nuggets came up with a game of trying
to balance on the red ball while on the trampoline.
Made for some pretty hilarious photo ops!

nosey neighbors

These 2 . . .
Climbing the trees to check out what the neighbors have
going on on the other side of the fence.
But we'll take sunshine and blue skies in March
any day!
