Indoor practice

Due to dark and soggy weather, football practice has been

an indoor routine almost nightly. Often times Daddy and Spike are in the mix

as well. How we have any items still left up on our walls

is beyond me!

After some heavy bribery with a few specific and

coveted Pokémon cards, a deal was struck.

Sleep ALL night in your own bed(s)

(or any bed that is not Daddy & Mommy's)

and you will earn a special Pokémon card each week.

So far, we are on track!

Here is an example from a few days ago of the tangled 

sleeping arrangement that these 2 get into nightly.

After getting home form Meadows tonight, Kingston 

decided he needed to wear the lion costume

before dinner. After getting it on and whipping people with his tail

for a few moments, he promptly snuck over to the couch

for a quick cat nap!

Friends since they were under

a year old at Sheila's!

What a difference a week can make. This time at my monthly 

lunch date with Barker, it was full on SNOWING!

No skipping jackets for these dudes.

Castle's back in town!

Our pal Castle came to the Hood for a visit, so we took full

advantage! He moved last Summer and we've been missing him,

but it was like no time had passed between this motley crew -

we just picked up where we left off!

Family SNOWBOARD day!

Yesterday the boys decided they wanted to snowboard...

so the whole family took advantage for a few runs down

as a pack of 'boarders!'

Although a few tears were shed (they weren't as good

at snowboarding as they are at skiing which left them

in a state of bewilderment and frustration) when they

woke up this morning they were more

eager than ever to get back up to the mountain

and go again!

So up we went! They both must have dreamt 

about snowboarding all night because they had

gotten much better today. How they got progressed

that much after 1 day is beyond me - I sure wish I had that kind of

skill at their age!!!

Hard to believe they are outside and coatless in JANUARY!

...spells trouble for the lego bat mobile.

Good thing these 2 are 'master builders'

and the bat mobile crisis was quickly handled.

cleaning up - they felt pretty cool about that!

They are both armed with offensive

kung fu kicks and judo chops whilst in la-la land.

Daddy and Mommy both got kicked to the curb

and then they snuggled up to each other

in the middle of OUR King-sized bed.

Either they are both resistant to mid-night kidney jabs

or each know better than to mess with the other.

camping trips. But, hey, it works pretty darn well in 

the living room too!!

Sleeping Queens

Is the newest game that these 2 are really into and we play as a 

family almost daily. Add in Grandma's Party mix and you've got a 

pretty perfect afternoon!!

First sleepover!

 Was a success! Barker invited 3 friends for our first sleepover

to celebrate his 7th birthday. This group of boys

is amazing, they just get along SO well!

The only arguments that happened were between 

the Bolland Brothers - the other 3 kiddos were

a dream and everyone made it the whole night without a hitch.

Can't wait to do it again!

2 new 'do's

Nothing like a new cut to make you feel so fresh

and so clean!

Both boys are packing fevers and sore throats and

have little to no energy :(

Poor buddies - at least they have each other 

to lean on and empathize with.

Every so often one feels a little better than the

other for a short while and helps to care for the

worse off one...they are so sweet even in their 

worst of times.
