Let's Party!

After what probably felt like the longest day in the
history of his 6 years on Earth it was
finally - PARTY TIME!!!
Friends, games, pizza, cake...what more could a guy ask for!?!

Barker turned 6!

And he is patiently waiting for 5:00pm to hurry up and get here
so we can finally go to his birthday celebration!
He's been standing by or checking the clock on
the microwave about every 3.8 seconds...
such a loooooong day!

Both boys also got new 'party' haircuts today.
It always makes them look so much older!
p.s. we have a 6 year old...how crazy is that!?!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARKER!!!

a race to the finish

Thank you Nana & GPa! We love our new mugs with our mugs
(and cousin Colton's mug) on them! They are so fun to drink out of
(we feel like grown-ups) and we like to race to see who can drink
the water down the fastest! Daddy & Mommy
can only help but wonder if this is a glimpse
into the future and our college days at WSU!?! ;)
GO COUGS!

Merry Christmas!

Welp, up by 5:30...with a quick check-in at 1:30am just to be sure
we weren't over-sleeping...Barker was just sure it was
time to get up and at 'em - how we got him back into bed
and held him off for another 4 hours will forever be a mystery.

After the packages were all un-packaged, and Daddy
was off to work, we met up with Rowan & Brody for
a little snow, sunshine and sledding!

What a magical day.
We hope you had a day filled with love and memories
too, and had a very merry Christmas!

New hair, new attitude

Daddy and Kingston went on a haircut date, and Kingston
came home with a whole new appreciation for his hair.
For the rest of the day he would steal mirror glances of himself.
He also made various, random announcements of said
haircut and would comment on how it looked
good and he really liked it ;) But don't dare get to close and 'mess it up...'
'Cause then he's off to the mirror with his comb!!!

Zoo Lights with Lucas!

We ventured to the zoo this evening with Lucas, Casie & Taylor
to check out over 1.5 million holiday lights! We ate our
first ever elephant ear over some delicious hot chocolate,
and even got a hug from this snuggly otter!
Needless to say, it was awesome!

Eason & Kennedy came for a visit!

And we got a whole BUNCH of snow!
Here is Eason pulling Barker to the park while
Kingston re-directs traffic.

Little Miss Kenna and Mommy Bridget contemplating
snow angels.

We had an EPIC snowball fight...five tee-ball
playing boys against 3 lowly grown-ups...the
grown-ups didn't stand a chance!

Getting ready to board the Polar Express for
a trip to the North Pole to pick-up Santa, jammies
are a MUST!

Here we are aboard the train and starting the climb
up the mountain. The hot cocoa was extra
DEEELICIOUS!

Old Saint Nick is the jolliest of jolly old souls!
We had such a great weekend and are so very
thankful of the McNamara's for making the
trek to Hood River in the midst of a
crazy snow storm!

First Snow!

Means first snow dive and snow angel of the season!
Kingston wasn't as excited to get out there at 8:30 in the
morning as Barker was. Guess we'll have to wait
a little longer for a Kinger snow angel!

Barker's First School Program

Here are a few video peaks into his first performance.
The innocence and naivety is heart melting!

Team Homework

Surprisingly enough, most of the time these 2 actually quite enjoy
doing their homework. Especially when they sit down and
knock it out together! :)

blue water

Aunt Jackie gifted these cups to us a while back,
but they never seem to lose their awesomeness!
Every time we get them out and use them, the
boys are memorized and just want to drink cup
after cup of water!
Thanks again Aunt Jackie - didn't know lights were
the key to keeping wee ones hydrated ;)

Oh Christmas Tree

While Barker was at school today, Kingston helped
Daddy and Mommy pull out all the Christmas
decorations -inside and out.He was getting a little
antsy and decided to start the ball rolling
by decorating this mini-tree all by himself!
He wrapped it up with lights, placed a total
of 2 ornaments, stuck the star on top
and called 'er good.
He was pretty darn proud of himself.
Couldn't pass up the photo op!

Once Barker came home, we were off to find the perfect
tree. Mostly the boys (Spike included) just ran amok
like wild feral cats hiding behind trees in every direction,
whilst Mom & Dad (probably mostly Dad) did the dirty work!

But as soon as we got that baby home, these 2 made
quick work of trimming the tree.
As you can see, this tree has a candy cane 'section'
for the sweet tooth(s) in the family!
